Behind the Brand: Why We're Called Truly

If you've ever looked at our logo and wondered the meaning behind it, then this is for you!

For 53 years, we served our community as Linn County Insurance. As we grew and expanded to serve neighboring counties, we officially rebranded to how you know us today: Truly Insurance. So, what's the story behind this name?

The name Truly was chosen because of its significance in the Bible. Jesus frequently uses the phrase "Truly, I say to you..." to introduce important teachings, emphasizing his firsthand authority and the significance of the message.

"Truly, truly I say to you, the one who believes has eternal life." John 6:47

The Greek word for truly is amēn, taken directly from the Hebrew word āˈmēn, which translates literally to "so be it." You probably recognize it because of its use at the end of a prayer. When used at the end of a statement, amen is used to accept or endorse what was said. Why, then, does Jesus say amen before a statement?

To begin a statement with "truly" is to say:

What I say to you is the truth.

I have firsthand knowledge and authority over this subject.

There's also a meaning behind the feather in our logo! Our previous owner, and continued advisor, Paul Myers, is notorious for referring to everyone as "chief". Therefore, we pay tribute to his dedication by including a feather in our logo.
