Truly Insurance is the oldest independent insurance agency in Linn County. Originally named, Linn County Insurance, it started back in 1967 with Ralph Hopkins and Jack Graves. Paul Myers joined the team in 1979 to form Hopkins-Graves-Myers. Paul’s oldest daughter, Christine, joined the agency in 1999 when she graduated from Kansas State University with a bachelor's degree in Marketing.
In July 2001, Paul purchased Bollinger Insurance Agency in Mound City to better serve the area. At that time, the name of the agency was changed to Linn County Insurance Agency, Inc. In February of 2005, Paul purchased the McGee-Thomas Insurance Agency in LaCygne from long-time friend Susan Thomas.
In 2013, Christine purchased Archer Insurance Agency from Doug Archer. In 2017, Christine purchased Linn County Insurance from her father. In 2020, Christine changed the names of both, Archer Insurance Agency and Linn County Insurance, to Truly Insurance. The staff at Truly Insurance is still striving to offer their customers great options to best serve their insurance needs.
