Truly Insurance is proud to be the oldest independent insurance agency in Linn County, with roots going all the way back to 1967 with Ralph Hopkins and Jack Graves. In 1979, Paul Myers joined the team, and together they became Hopkins-Graves-Myers. Paul’s oldest daughter, Christine, came on board in 1999 fresh from Kansas State University with a Marketing degree. She’s always said that she moved back to Linn County for her two favorite men: her dad, of course, and her husband, lifetime Linn County resident, Wade Teagarden.
In July 2001, Paul expanded the family’s reach by purchasing Bollinger Insurance Agency in Mound City, and the agency was renamed Linn County Insurance Agency, Inc. A few years later, in 2005, Paul added McGee-Thomas Insurance Agency in La Cygne to the mix, buying it from longtime friend Susan Thomas.
Fast forward to 2013, Christine took a big step, purchasing Archer Insurance Agency in Garnett from Doug Archer. Then, in 2017, she purchased Linn County Insurance from her dad. By 2020, she brought everything together under one name: Truly Insurance. (Finally. Making marketing materials got a whole lot easier!)
The family tradition didn’t stop there. In December 2023, Christine’s eldest daughter Josie returned home after graduating from Kansas State with a degree in Professional & Strategic Selling. Bringing fresh energy, a passion for sales, and a heart for community-focused service, Josie joined the team ready to help carry on their legacy of providing personalized care.
And the growth continues! In 2024, Christine acquired Rockers Insurance Agency in Greeley, expanding Truly Insurance’s focus in the Anderson County community.
Through it all, the staff at Truly Insurance remains dedicated to offering great options and genuine care, serving their customers like neighbors and friends. Although, we may be a small-town insurance agency, we strive to do it with big heart.
